Hailey: The story of how the Venue at Postcard from Paris came to be our venue is an interesting one. My then-fiancé and I toured a lot of venues that were mostly traditional, but we both wanted a more contemporary feel. When we visited Postcard from Paris, we walked in and loved it immediately. It felt very much like our style – the aesthetic, the hardwood floors and walls – we adored it all! We especially felt like this match was meant to be – because the building that holds the venue was also where my mother’s first job was, and she had passed a few months before. We went ahead and cancelled all other venue visits.

Hailey: When we booked the venue, we wanted to have our ceremony and reception there, but there wasn’t enough room, so we settled on using it solely for the reception. The venue’s lighting definitely helped us make our choice. The space itself reveals a beautiful juxtaposition of fresh, stunning lighting and original brick and concrete, rustic floors and walls. The black and white color palette, combined with sharp, clean lines, created a bold look that we knew would be perfect for our reception. We chose not to bring in any additional décor or seating, and minimal flowers, as we felt the space spoke for itself.
