Patti Carpenter is an award winning Creative Director in globally sourced home accents, clothing, personal accessories and gifts with extensive experience in product design and development, merchandising, and color + trend forecasting. She has received U.S. presidential recognition for domestic and international expertise in artisan development, small producer and entrepreneur training, and economic development. She has worked with clothing labels, including Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta, Cynthia Rowley, The Limited Corporation and Ralph Lauren. She has developed private label home and textile collections for Bloomingdales, Dean & Deluca, Sferra, Donna Karan’s Urban Zen, The Museum of Arts and Design and ABC Carpet & Home.
Patti has worked in 54 countries around the globe and speaks internationally on Design, Color + Trend. She has spoken at the Design Indaba in South Africa, Peru MODA in Peru, and at the New World Craft show in Guatemala. She has worked with artisans on behalf of USAID, the U.N. international government agencies, trade promotion counsels, non-profits organizations and NGO’s around the world to design and develop textiles, ceramics, lacquer ware, wood, metal, beading, jewelry, fiber and variety of other materials.
Her Home Décor commercial clients in Color + Trend include The Phillips Collection, Crate & Barrel, Takasago International, Proctor & Gamble, TJX, Robert Allen, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Carini Lang and Cliff Young.
