Lighting The New American Home 2016: A Virtual Tour

The 33rd edition of The New American Home (TNAH) is a show home packed with innovative ideas, brand-new products, inspiring concepts and eye-pleasing design that harmonizes with its sites and surroundings. We were proud to illuminate TNAH 2016 completely and efficiently – inside and out, top to bottom – with a custom lighting package that furthered the home’s elegant style and strict energy standards. We invite you to join us on a virtual tour of this stunning show home that embodies the best of modern residential design.

TNAH6  Upon entering the home, guests are immediately greeted with an eye-catching display of our Penn fixtures – clustered in custom grouped designs for a mid-century modern appeal.

“For the entry and dining room I wanted lighting fixtures that would make more of a statement, but remain clean and simple,” said Builder Josh Moser of Element Design Build. “I sketched out what I wanted and [Progress Lighting] was able to use one of their standard fixtures and create my design with it.”

The floor plan confirmed what we were all thinking – the open concept trend is here to stay! The kitchen is a key space for gathering with multiple islands for entertainment.

The clean approach to design was mirrored in the lighting chosen to illuminate the above-island area. Our glass pendants provide task lighting while furthering the home’s simplistic style.

Creative use of tile was a theme carried from room to room – and not just in the bathroom areas. A striking tile display served as an artistic headboard in the master suite – accented by the high metallic finish of our Kiss pendants.

Tour the luxurious bathroom settings of the home and you won’t find sconces and vanity lights at the mirrors. Instead, pendants are used for an artistic approach to task lighting to complete everyday activities with ease (and in style!).

Outdoor areas are designed as spaces to linger long into the evening hours – with dimmable recessed fixtures and a cozy fireplace to complete the ambiance.

Progress Lighting’s wall sconces were used to light exterior areas to enhance the safety and security of the home.
